One of the most important details to consider when comparing polished tile vs. matte/non-polished tile is the difference in clarity between the two. All details in polished tiles can be seen more clearly, as if the image was taken by a high resolution camera. You will see no pixels, the colors do not blur together, and the color density is much more apparent. With matte/non-polished tiles, many times you can see pixels from the digital layer that is applied to the surface of the tile material. The difference between the two types of tiles is similar to comparing an HDTV image with a standard image. Although, non-polished tile provides a great style and is often a better approach to take. It all depends on the location you wish to place your tile, and your personal taste. Polished tile looks amazing in bathrooms, and modern style kitchens.
