1. Laminate flooring is fake hardwood

Though most laminate flooring is made up of wood and wood fibers, laminate flooring does not claim to be wood.

2. Laminate flooring is cheap.

A good quality laminate flooring can cost as much as hardwood flooring. Laminate flooring’s price depends on the quality of the material.

3. Laminate flooring is not durable

Compared to wood, laminate flooring has superior resistance to water and a higher tolerance to moisture. Not affected by climatic changes, prone to cupping or decay, its top finish can weather daily foot traffic, and also have UV protection.

4. Laminate flooring is noisy to walk on

While it is true that some laminate wood floors have a hollow sound when you walk over them, the correct underlayment for laminate floors can drastically reduce noise levels.

5. Laminate floors scratch easily

If you correctly install a quality laminate floor, it should be highly resistant to abrasions. Some floors are even suitable for commercial applications.
